World Speed Memory Championships

TESTS: Numbers in 1 second

These are your traditional whole numbers, from zero to 9. They appear in pairs
on a screen and then disappear after one second of being exposed. When they
disappear, the participant must write them on a piece of paper in the correct
  order.

An odd number of digits, for example, 9, would appear like this:

89  31  20  43  7

After 14 digits (the minimum to become Master), the scores can go up by
  half-digits. For example:

If a competitor correctly memorizes14 digits in 1 second, and then tries with 15,
yet can't get them, their final score would be 14 digits. However, if, when doing
the 15-digit test, they miss by only one digit (if they write down 14 of them
correctly) they will get a score of 14.5, or, 1075 points.

Keep in mind that in order to get a score of 14.5 it is necessary to have
previously achieved a score of 14, in the same competition, and then miss
the 15-digit test (or more than 15) by only one digit. It would be like doing the
14-digit round twice.

If, after having achieved 14 digits, the participant asks for 16 or more, and
misses by only one digit, their final score would still be 14.5 digits. Under no
circumstances can a participant earn a 15 if there are any errors.

The tests will begin with 4 digits in the "child" category (up to 10 years old),
and with 6 for the rest. Thereafter the digits will increase one by one.
